Trying to strike a balance between personal and commercial work is an on going faff but who doesn’t have challenges in life so I’m not complaining. Any hooo I made a submission to the Royal Academy summer show this year all thanks to Nettie my neighbour.

I was so happy to be short listed !

Then came another email saying that my image was still under consideration and today ladies and gentlemen I am happy to tell you that my piece has been one of the 800 or so chosen from 12000 submissions to be part of the Summer Exhibition.

What I love about this show is that it is open to all, whether you are a renowned artist or have just started out. The mix is eclectic.

What, who, where ?

The Summer Exhibition is an open art exhibition held annually by The Royal Academy in Piccadilly, London during the summer months of June, July, and August. The exhibition includes all sorts of art mediums prints, drawings, painting, sculpture and of course more recently photography, it is the largest and most popular open exhibition in the UK.
