NewbornNewbornJust one image today.

I photographed this newborn in the early 1990’s as part of a project on pregnancy.

This year it was one of fifty images selected to represent the word GROWTH in an exhibition curated by Sierra R. Aguilar (@seastatic) for  Lenscratch.

This exhibition highlights the inevitability of growth. Whether that be occurring in the natural state of the world, personal moments of artistic endeavours, or changes in familial dynamics. Growth is one of the few constants that consistently proves inescapable, and with that, photographers have found a way to freeze time, photograph, and hold moments of the past before everything changes again. These images serve as a spot to recognise and celebrate our growth, the growing pains, the past, and everything that comes alongside it.

What comes to mind for you when you think of Growth?
